I joined Up with People because I think it is the first challenge of so many that are still to come in my life. The program offers a lot of things that I want to learn. I am looking forward to get challenged every day.

I joined Up with People to slay dragons and fight hate. There’s a lot of scary stuff out there and I think it’s super cool that we can get all these awesome people together to learn and experience as a group. It’s a very powerful group and I had to be part of it.

I love singing and dancing. It’s been a huge part of my whole life. Live! Laugh! Love!

Although I am from a small island I have a huge heart and an open mind. I love to travel and learn about what the world can offer. I love to sing as well as dance even though I’m not great at it. I’m so excited to grow as a person and share with the world what I can offer.

I finished school last year and afterward I have been working for a year. I love to travel and see the world and different cultures, so here I am at Up with People!

I think Up with People is a great opportunity to help do something for our world. It is just the beginning and I hope that when we will all return home each of us keeps trying to make the world a better place.

I wanted do Up with People because I really want to help people and especially impact people. I am a Christian and am looking forward to a career in youth ministry/ worship ministry and Up with People is a great way to prepare me for that. I’m a ski bum and mountain lover. Winter is the best season ever!

I have been traveling around the world my whole life, due to my dad’s job. I have always loved to do this and think it is absolutely amazing that during this half year I get to combine this with my biggest passions: singing and dancing. On top of that I believe that Up with People has such a great message and I am very happy to bring this message to so many people.

I am from two very different cultures and I like to learn about other cultures and compare them to mine, to see the differences and similarities.

I joined Up with People to meet new friends and travel the world. For me this whole experience is about learning. I not only want to make a difference during this semester, but learn how to be able to make a difference in my everyday life.

I am currently a student at the University of Arizona, studying German, Geography and Creative Writing. I have a passion for travel. Other hobbies of mine include reading tarot cards and crocheting.

I just finished college and Up with People is my first adventure into the “real world”. I’m a musician and performer. I believe that service, especially service that impacts a community, is the best way to both spread my Christian love and embrace my own spirituality.

I graduated from the University of New Haven with a degree in Music Industry and a minor in Marketing. I joined Up with People to make an impact.

I joined Up with People in order to challenge myself, meet new fascinating cultures and people and try to make a difference. My father traveled way back in 1972 and continues to encourage and support my own journey. I am very much looking forward to expand my horizons and gain world perspective through this amazing opportunity.

I joined Up with People to be part of something greater than myself. Seeing the world through the eyes of others from all walks of life is a very valuable aspect in my own life. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. I am excited about putting my experience to use as a Promotion Representative for Up with People. I joined Up with People to work and enjoy experiences with passionate, inspirational people who want to make a difference in the world.

There are four things I’d like to do with my life. Travel, perform, meet people, and help people. What better place to be than with Up with People! I am a musician and I love life!

I’m a teacher by trade, I love live music and I’m passionate about working with youth. Education will save us all.

After traveling as a student in Cast B’09, I found my passion for PR (Promotion Representative) after a three-week internship in Tampere, Finland. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to set up four cities in North America and I’m really excited to work in Taipei, Taiwan and Mexico. Besides traveling and meeting new people, I love staying active and attending all forms of entertainment.

Honestly, I didn’t really come to Up with People with a reason, but I’m pretty sure I will leave with one.

I love to sing and dance and I’ve always wanted to do community impact. I’m also very interested in communication and leadership, so Up with People is kind of tailor-made for me. It was a very easy decision to join the cast.

I love photography. Singing and dancing is a challenge that I love working on to improve. I am outgoing and love to meet new people.

I’m a Kinesiologist who’s passionate about dance, physical preparation and good health. However, my passions don’t stop there. Traveling, teaching and taking on new challenges are part of my life. Up with People gives me this amazing opportunity to give back and push myself everyday.

I applied for Up with People because I like the idea of being creative and helpful at the same time. I also like to travel and really want to get to know other cultures!

“Don’t follow the path that leads you, instead go off the path and leave your own trail.” I did the college thing, full of textbooks and lectures, but the real learning happened in Up with People where I experienced life around the world.

I love getting to know new people and cultures and I have a positive view on life. I am passionate about nature and want to work with environmental issues.

I want to network. I want to get better at singing. I want to travel.

I joined Up with People because I like to help people, dance and sing. Here I can do all three! I like being around people I can learn from, such as things about other cultures. In my future I want to do something powerful and meaningful for my life and I believe this is my opportunity to get my starting base.

I decided to join Up with People because I love to sing and dance, but helping others that may not be as lucky as I am is an amazing way to show that there are people out there who do care.

Up with People has given me many opportunities in seeing parts of the world that I would never see by myself. I am also passionate about the aspect of performing and impacting, which is something I really enjoy doing. Another passion is my love for marathon running and my addiction to coffee!

I found out about the program through college. I had to design a project of my ideal job and it was exactly parallel to Up with People, so I researched it and now I’m here. My dad was born and raised in Hawaii, which is my culture, and I have been working with kids groups for more than ten years.

Traveling has been a passion of mine and doing that while making an impact on communities will have a lasting effect. I also enjoy movies and Americanos from Starbucks. “As you need air to breath, so must you have music to live.” –Japanese Proverb

Up with People will be good for me because I would like to think about how I see the world and other cultures. It’s also good to know new people and countries.

I love being around people and trying new things. I play tennis, basketball and soccer and also enjoy performing and like to sing and dance. I joined Up with People because I wanted a chance to learn about other cultures and travel the world with a positive group of people. I want to make a difference in the world and feel like we as a group can do that.

I wanted to be part of Up with People because: I love to dance, I love to sing, I love being with people, I love helping people, I love being creative and I love traveling. So Up with People is what I love.

I am a big musical theater person and love singing and dancing. I joined Up with People to impact the world by doing what I love to do.

I’m very passionate about music and I truly believe that by using music as an international language we can touch hearts and minds all over the world. I’m also addicted to coffee.

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and am now a Registered Nurse. Aside from my love of the sciences and caring for others, my passion is dancing. I love you Mom and Dad!

Looking for something that might challenge me is the biggest challenge of everyday life. This is what Up with People is about and I’m glad to experience it once again, but now from a staff member’s perspective.

I love to sing in front of an audience, travel the world and learn more about other cultures. I think Up with People is a great combination of those desires.
